It’s a stellar program, Artistic Director David Sefton’s fourth and final Adelaide Festival of Arts is bound to be a winner and has attracted some of the top talent in the country.
The program features 30 theatre, dance, music and visual arts events alongside the Adelaide Writer’s Week.
The line-up includes seven world premieres, 21 Australian premieres and 20 events that are exclusive to Adelaide over the 18 day Festival which runs from 26 February to 14 March 2016.
Standouts include the James Plays Trilogy, an unforgettable theatrical performance directed by Rona Munro, it’s bloody, colourful Scottish history as you’ve never seen it before.
You won’t want to miss Groupe F, a breathtaking stadium spectacular set to (quite literally) explode for one night only at the Adelaide Oval.
Kids will absolutely marvel at Erth’s Dinosaur Zoo and Erth’s Prehistoric Aquarium. They don their dive suits and get to ‘swim’ up close to the ancient aquatic creatures of yore.
Tectonics Adelaide returns with a spectacular new two-day Tectonics program, a feast for the ears and soul.
The Adelaide Writer’s Week 2016 is nestled amongst the festivities, once again welcoming some of contemporary literature’s most exciting writers and thinkers to gather under the trees and share a rich mix of stories, ideas and influences. The Writer’s Week runs from Sat 27 Feb until Thursday 3 March, the shows run for 60 minutes at 9am at the Pioneer Women’s Memorial Gard
