Seal Bay Getaway
Located on the ever popular Kangaroo Island, Seal Bay is a fantastic tourist destination to check out when visiting South Australia, you won’t want to miss it. The bay has over 110,000 visitors annually. It’s about 45 minutes from Kangaroo Island’s main town of Kingscote.

Entry to the park itself is free but the paid tours are really worth it to get up close and personal. Learning to spot the sea lions from a distance is definitely an option though and a good one for travellers without a huge amount of time.There are some fantastic photo opportunities for the amateur photographer, selfie snapper and professional alike.
They may be cute and goofy when on land but when they slide gracefully into the water you’ll see a different side of these fascinating creatures. They dive and jump through the waves, seemingly gliding effortlessly in pursuit of fish.
However, as the tour guides will tell you, a lot of the time the sea lions just do it for the pure joy – you’ll believe it when you see it.
